Cultivating Self-Compassion

The person we are often hardest on is ourselves. The things we say to ourselves can be harsh, judgmental, and even cruel: “You’re stupid, you’re lazy, you’re incompetent. Get over it, be better, don’t be weak.” Sometimes we’re so used to it we don’t know why we do it or how to stop it. All we do know is that it’s exhausting, painful and it doesn’t help us achieve our goals.
Self-compassion is the practice and posture of relating to ourselves with mindfulness, kindness, and common humanity. Believe it or not, self-compassion radically changes how we interact with ourselves and research has shown it increases productivity.
In this group, we will identify the core aspects of self-compassion, why it is a valuable tool in daily life, and how you can cultivate self-compassion to improve your mental health.
If you feel stuck, we can help.
