Expression is essential in everyday life, especially when working through difficult times. In some circumstances, it can be difficult to verbally express oneself. Creative expression can demonstrate one’s thoughts and feelings in a tangible way that verbal expression is not always able to.

About Me

Although we cannot change our past, we can acknowledge its impact and change how we view it and ourselves. While working with clients, I encourage expression to gain self-awareness and to reshape their narrative.  Expression is essential in everyday life, especially when working through difficult times, such as grief and trauma. I practice with a person-centered, trauma-informed, strength based approach to meet clients where they are and help them start to make changes and to heal.

For some clients, verbal expression can be difficult.  Creative expression can demonstrate one’s thoughts and feelings in a tangible way. Art Therapy can be helpful in exploring one’s thoughts and feelings and fostering self-awareness. As an Art Therapist, I have the ability and knowledge to bring artmaking into therapy to help facilitate the healing process.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), and a Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP). I have many years of experience helping people with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, and addiction.  I have experience practicing therapeutic techniques of Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and MI, as well as Crisis Intervention.

I am available for in person sessions, as well as telehealth.
