Lisa employs a blend of therapeutic treatments for her clients, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Based Therapy, and various psycho-educational programming. She believes that when people are willing to have hope and explore how the mind, spirt and body are interconnected, they can begin to replace their irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes to experience positive life changes.

About Me
Lisa completed her Doctorate degree in Educational Administration and Social Justice from Duquesne University. She completed her Master’s degree in School Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania. Her primary research interest consists of supporting girls through evidenced based programs that improve girls’ self-esteem and enhance their Social Emotional Learning competencies.
Professionally, Lisa has been working full-time as a School Counselor in a public-school setting. Furthermore, Dr. Mumau teaches undergraduate courses to students at Westmoreland County Community College and Point Park University.
Lisa is licensed as a Professional Counselor and has extensive experience working not only in a school setting with children and their families, but also in a community setting as a Licensed Behavioral Specialist and a Licensed Mobile Therapist. Most recently, Lisa has delivered counseling and consulting services for children and families experiencing divorce, separation, and custody related challenges
