About Me

My goal as a therapist is to create an environment in which my clients can safely work though the complexities of their thoughts, feelings, and personal experience. Life presents many challenges and it is human to feel lost and unsure of our direction in life. The therapeutic relationship provides a unique opportunity for therapist and client to work together to make sense of one’s life and seek the truth of one’s experience. I have worked in the field for ten years with various clients.

I have experience with mood disorders, psychosis, identity, gender, major life transitions/stress, depression, and anxiety. I utilize an existential foundation to help clients make sense of their thinking, emotion, and life experience. I am able to draw on techniques such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help address problematic behaviors, face anxiety, and build skills to take ownership of their behaviors and actions.

It is essential to me that clients feel that they can express themselves honestly without fear of being judged. Honesty and a safe space are the foundation of effective therapy. I operate on the humanistic views with clients striving to reach their potential, even if they are lost and misguided in how to do so.

Therapy is about unlocking the potential to determine the course of treatment and how to self-actualize. You know what is unsettling, lets face it together.
