Wendy McSparren, Owner & CEO, MSW
Founder & Owner/Therapist, MSW, LCSW, BCD
LCSW and WPA founder — helping you find the right therapist, or being one myself.
Introduction
Starting therapy is hard enough. You shouldn't have to figure it out alone.
My Approach
Maybe you've thought about reaching out for a while now. Maybe you've Googled therapists at 11pm and closed the tab. Maybe you tried therapy before and it just didn't click.
I get it. Choosing the right therapist — especially when you're already running low — can feel like one more impossible thing to figure out.
I'm Wendy — a licensed therapist and the founder of WPA. I've been doing this work for more than 37 years, and I started this practice because I believe the fit between client and therapist is everything. Not just credentials. Not just availability. The right person for you.
My style is direct but warm. I ask nosy questions — and I also tell you upfront that you only have to share what you're ready to share. You drive. We figure out together what you need and build from there. People are often surprised by how much lighter they feel after just one honest conversation.
I use stories and metaphors to explain things in ways that actually land — my clients have been known to quote them back to me years later. I trained as a social worker because I wanted to help people see there's hope on the other side of struggle. That's still exactly why I show up.
Today, I see a small number of clients while spending much of my energy making sure WPA is the kind of practice where every client finds the right fit. Whether that's with me or one of our clinicians, the goal is the same: helping you take that first step with someone who actually gets you.
When you're ready, we're here.
